Lets Go Green!!!

Around these few years, people often talk about Go Green Campaign. However, do we really understand what is Go Green Campaign or Green Marketing? Based on the definition given, Green Marketing is the marketing of products that are presumed to be environmentally safe. It is mean, the products or services offered to the market wont harm the environment.
 
I must confess that before my friend, Alex deeply explain to me about the necessary of going green, I am not the person that aware with the pollution so much. I do hate pollution, but as I mentioned just now, I am not so fierce to let people know that their action is not environmental friendly. Honestly, when Alex told me to join him as environmentalist, my heart beats and screaming 'do you think that I have nothing else to do instead of being your team?'. However, once i watched the video about our environment, I suddenly come to realize that I cant be so selfish like this, because I must contribute together to make this world a better place.

I am not a very hard environmentalist so far of course. Because I am still new and not so much activity that I've joined so far. But I am interested to join any activity that might be launched for saving our earth. I believe we all can feel that the weather is become hot and hot every each day. Even in Cameron also is not as cold as before. I am shocked with the situation you know. 

As far i know, the greatest threats to our future resources come from the things that is being throw away by us like household batteries and electronics that in know contain a dangerous chemical. I do believe that not much of us that realize about the fact that if this chemical is sent to a local landfill, leak through the bottom barrier and pollute the groundwater. This can contaminate everything from the soil in which our food grows, to the water which will eventually come out of aquifers and into our tap water. So, eeeeeeeeee!

There are some tips to start your go green attitude. Sierra Club has listed 10 ways to go green.

1. Be bright about light
2. Maximize computer efficiency
3. Print smarter
4. Go paperless when possible
5. Ramp up your cycling
6. Close the loop
7. Watch what you eat and how
8. Rethink your travel
9. Reconsider your commute
10. Create a healthy office environment  

Did you ever know?

•   For every ton of paper that is recycled, the following is saved:

           7,000 gallons of water;
           380 gallons of oil;
           And enough electricity to power an average house for 
           six months. 

• You can run a TV for six hours on the amount of electricity that is saved by recycling one aluminum can.

• By recycling just one glass bottle, we can save enough electricity to power a 100-watt bulb for four hours.
